The Murderess and the Hangman

Share
I am currently writing my second novel about the dlightful-looking lady above. It's called The Murderess and the Hangman. Kate's the murderess!

Kate Webster was an Irish maid and petty criminal who travelled to Liverpool and eventually London from her native Wessex, Ireland, stopping at a few clinks along the way. She dabbled in everything from theft, to extortion, violence, fraud, impersonation and eventually spiraling down - when things were starting to look good - to commit a heinous murder. Kate tops her pleasant little old landlady in the leafy suburb of Richmond, in South London, in the 1880s.

The Murderess and the Hangman brings these events to life in all their gory detail, hopefully to enquire into the motivations as much as the deeed themselves. We shall see! You can follow the progress of the novel at the Word Count meter (above), and by adding yourself to the Facebook page I've set up for the novel at this link - thanks!
